There are MANY folks who believe that one should only speak the Pennsylvania Dutch language when you are Powwowing. I can say in all honesty that this seems like silliness to me, as all of our source materials (grimoires) are originally in German and later translated to English.
However, if you wish to learn to speak the Pennsylvania Dutch language, then please work through the video lessons that I'm sharing here! PA Dutch is not a written language, only a spoken one. So it just takes time, repetition, and regular usage of the language to begin to develop a proper understanding of it. I love these videos as they are presented by a speaker of the language and a Pennsylvania native! There is another series of videos by Doug Maniford that I will share on here as well when I get more time to work on this page!
